BILLINGS, MT (February 27, 2009) - The Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma is moving ahead with plans to become a premier vacation destination in the near future, including the addition of a brand new KOA Kampground that will host KOA RVers starting the end of April 2009. The resort is 90 minutes north of Dallas/Ft. Worth, in southeastern Oklahoma.

The KOA Kampground plans include three construction phases: Phase I, opening in April 2009, will have 75 RV sites; 75 additional sites are planned for Phase II; and Phase III will incorporate KOA on-site lodging.

"We wanted to be associated with a national brand and KOA is the best camping brand out there," says Charlie Tyree, Choctaw Casino Resort RV Park Manager. Tyree spent years as a KOA Kampground manager and looked forward to the opportunity to be part of the KOA family again. "There's hardly any RVer who doesn't know the KOA brand - if they don't know, they're brand new to RVing!"

"We're pleased to be offering the high quality and standards that KOA is known for," says Tyree. "Adding RV sites allows vacationers the option to travel and stay here economically in their own RVs. We'll still have hotel accommodations for non-RVers"

The Choctaw Casino Resort, which started as a Bingo hall in 1985, has grown to welcome more than one million customers each year. The resort includes a casino, built two and a half years ago; the nine-month-old CenterStage Event Center; a Resort Hotel and Conference Center with 96 hotel rooms and six suites; the Oasis Tropical Pools and Spa complex; and the Choctaw Wellness Center that has fitness facilities and classes.

"All of our KOA RV guests will have access to the Oasis Tropical Pools and Spa complex, and the Wellness Center," says Tyree.

The company owns eight additional casinos and 17 travel plazas throughout southeast Oklahoma. "We're planning to build more KOA Kampgrounds at four of our other properties," says Tyree.

Another new, 300,000-square-foot casino is planned to open in about 18 months and the land for two new golf courses has been purchased. There is not an opening date for either of the golf courses yet.

Down the road, the Choctaw Casino Resort would like to add a shopping center and water park to add to the vacation destination allure.
