KOA's New Value Kard Rewards Program Launching March 2 New Way To Save Will Give Campers One More Reason To Stay With KOA

BILLINGS, MT (February 25, 2008) - Starting Sunday, March 2, Kampgrounds of America campers will have a brand new way to earn special rewards and save as they camp with North America's leading system of family campgrounds.

KOA Value Kard Rewards, while similar to special loyalty rewards programs in industries such as airlines and hotels, is a first for the camping industry. This online-based program offers campers their own personalized website linked from KOA.com to monitor their rewards points, track their travels and list their camping preferences. "We've been offering the Value Kard Rewards program at outdoors shows this winter, and the response from campers has been phenomenal," said KOA spokesperson Steve Young. "We've already sold tens of thousands of the cards, and campers are telling us they can't wait to start camping and earning rewards."The Value Kard Rewards program replaces KOA's former Value Kard program, which offered campers a 10 percent discount on camping fees. With Value Kard Rewards, campers still get their 10 percent discount, but they also earn special points for each qualified stay at any of the more than 450 KOAs in North America. They can then redeem those points for rewards good for discounts on future KOA camping. "They will also receive special members-only savings offered by our partners," Young said. "And since members share their camping preferences with us, we're able to speed up their check-in process once they arrive at their favorite KOA." Members who earn 20,000 Value Kard Rewards points during a membership year will automatically be upgraded to VIP status, enabling them to earn more points even faster.
