We use the weight provided in the sales literature and knowing the weight of what we were putting in our RV.

We have Fulltimed for nearly five years, and weigh our 5th wheel periodically for checking the balance throughout our coach, especially the critical pin weight, and often forgotten side to side balance weight. We started with the mfg's printed weight, but found it's printed weight only for the basic model, and with four slides & other options added the coach weighed empty heavy on the side with three slides. We use tote bins for most all of our compartment storage, and found it easier to balance the weight side to side by moving the bins in our underfloor storage.
