RVing with Mark

RV Education 101®, the premier provider of educational videos, books and RV information for the RVing public, was founded over a decade ago by Mark Polk, who started in the RV industry as a teenaged apprentice technician. "I really enjoyed working around RVs and performing basic service on customers’ units”, Polk explained. “You could say I was bit by the RV bug early on.”
RV Education 101 quickly established themselves as THE go to resource for RVers. With hundreds of thousands of training and informational DVDs and books sold, along with his many TV appearances as the RV Savvy Guy, Mark Polk is recognized as THE authority for everything RV.

Folding Tent Trailers also referred to as Pop-ups, Folding Trailers, Fold Downs, Tent Campers, Camping Trailers and Tent Trailers have been around since the 1920s in one form or another. Ordinary people were searching for ways to enjoy the outdoors without having to sleep directly on the ground. Pop-ups have come a long way since the ‘20s. If you had told one of the early pop-up pioneers that one day they would be equipped with kitchen and bathroom facilities, screen rooms, air conditioners and slide outs they would have said you were crazy.
The early versions of pop-ups solved the problem of getting off the ground, but that was about it. They were difficult to set up, sparse when it came to room, and in most cases more work than they were worth. Over time, as with every thing else in this great country, improvements were made and soon manufacturing plants were producing hundreds of pop-ups a day. Today pop-ups continue to grow in popularity and represent a large percentage of sales in the RV industry. Many of us begin our passion for the outdoors by staying in tents. When we get older, or for whatever reason, we desire more creature comforts and conveniences and make the decision to purchase an RV. In many cases a pop-up is the best choice for our needs. They are affordable and offer the comfort we seek. Smaller vehicles can tow them, and because of their size we can still explore America’s back roads where larger RVs can’t always go.
